# What is an offer package?

A package is one purchasable variant of an offer: a single visit, a five-pack, a VIP option. Each package has its own price, its own optional inventory cap and its own list of benefits. An offer is the listing; packages are what a customer actually chooses between.

Packages are how one offer supports several price points without becoming
several listings.

## What each package records

A stable identifier used for reconciliation, a display label, a price, an
optional inventory cap, and its benefits. Some packages can also include bonus
inclusions, such as extra stamps, granted at redemption.

## Why the stable identifier matters

Reconciliation needs to know precisely which variant was sold months later. A
label can be edited; the identifier cannot.
