# What is a subscription band?

A subscription band is the price step your venue sits on, determined by how many active loyal customers you had. Bands are set from a completed month and apply to the next one, so your price never moves partway through a month you are already in.

## Counted, then applied

Your active loyal customers are counted over a completed calendar month. That
count sets the band for the following month.

## Never mid-month

This is the part merchants most often assume works the other way. A busy week
does not push you into a higher band partway through. A quiet one does not drop
you out of the band you are in until that month ends.

## The price you are quoted

Prices are shown net of the monthly credit and exclusive of GST, which Stripe
adds on top.
