# What are the voucher statuses?

A voucher moves through a defined set of statuses: draft, issued, claimed once an account is attached, then redeemed, refunded, expired or void. Only issued and claimed vouchers with uses remaining show in a customer's active list.

Status is what decides whether a voucher appears in a customer's wallet and
whether staff can act on it.

## Claimed is about identity, not use

A voucher becomes claimed when an account is attached to it. Say you buy one for somebody who has no Fidella account yet. It is held against
their email address, and attaches to them the first time they sign in with it.

## Active means redeemable

A customer's active voucher list shows only what is still redeemable. A fully
used voucher leaves the active list rather than lingering as a tile that does
nothing. Its history stays visible in activity feeds.
