The signup QR is the single point where a walk-in becomes a member. It is one of
the five setup steps you complete before going live, alongside your business
profile, contact details, loyalty rules and branding.

## Generating it

The code is generated for you; there is nothing to configure. Go to the Customer
Signup QR section of the admin area and download it. Use the downloaded file
rather than a screenshot, because a screenshot loses the resolution the printer
needs.

## Placement is most of the result

The difference between a programme that fills up and one that does not is nearly
always placement rather than design. A code works when it is in front of somebody
who has nothing else to do for thirty seconds. That means the counter, the table,
or the pickup point, not the front door.

Staff mentioning it once as they hand over an order outperforms any sign. It
costs nothing and it is the single highest-leverage thing you can ask of a team.

## Test it before you print a hundred of them

Scan your own code and go through the signup as a customer would. You are
checking that your trading name, your logo and your reward threshold all read
the way you meant them to.
