# Why is Fidella asking me to confirm my email address?

Because your address has not been confirmed yet. When you signed up we emailed you a confirmation link, and until you open it some things stay out of reach, including team invitations and anything sent to you by another person. Tap Resend link on the banner if you no longer have that email, then open the link and come back.

Your email address is how Fidella knows something is meant for you.

## Why it has to be confirmed

Stamps and vouchers are tied to your account. Other things arrive addressed to
your email instead: an invitation to join a venue's team, or value another
person has sent you. Fidella will only match those to you once it knows the
address really is yours. Without that check, anyone who typed your address
during signup could collect what was meant for you.

## Clearing the banner

Tap Resend link, open the link in the email that arrives, then come back to
Fidella. The banner clears on its own the next time you return to the app.

## If the email never comes

Look in spam or junk first, since a confirmation link is the kind of mail that
often lands there. If it really has not arrived, ask for it again after a
minute. If that still fails, the address on your account may have a typo in it,
and support can tell you which address the emails are going to.
