Where to use it · any counter, any trade

Loyalty isn't a coffee thing. It's a coming-back thing.

If people come back to you, weekly, monthly or twice a year, there's a programme worth running. A jeweller has regulars. So does a nail salon, a bakery, a bike shop, a bottle store. What they have in common isn't the trade. It's that somebody behind the counter knows who's worth looking after, and until now had no way to prove it.

The same mechanic, read differently

A stamp doesn't have to mean a coffee. You decide what a visit is worth and what it earns, so the same programme reads as a loyalty card in one shop and a members' list in another.

Daily trade

Cafés, bakeries, lunch spots

High frequency, small ticket. Ten visits, one on the house: the classic, without the paper card that dies in a wash.

Booked in

Barbers, nail salons, studios

Every six weeks, like clockwork, until someone quietly stops. You'll see the gap while there's still time to send something.

Considered buy

Jewellers, boutiques, galleries

Few visits, large ones. Here the card is a members' list: who bought what, who to call first when the new pieces land.

On the way home

Bottle shops, grocers, butchers

Convenience decides it, and convenience is fragile. A reward waiting is a reason to pass the other shop.

Evenings

Restaurants, bars, wine rooms

Your regulars already get looked after by whoever's on. This means the rest of the floor knows who they are too.

Specialist

Bike shops, bookshops, pet supply

Seasonal, knowledgeable, loyal for years. Worth knowing the difference between a browser and someone on their fourth visit.

If you can tell us what a visit is worth, you can run this

There's no industry setting to pick and no template to outgrow. You set what counts as a visit, what it earns, and how long it lasts, whether that's a stamp, a points balance or a members' tier. The counter flow is identical either way.

What every trade on this page shares is the same blind spot: plenty of takings data, almost nothing about who keeps coming back. That's the part we fix.
