What is an offer?

An offer is something a business puts up for sale. When a customer pays for one, they get a voucher. The offer is the listing on the page. The voucher is what the customer ends up holding.

An offer is the merchandise side of a loyalty platform. A business publishes it, a customer pays for it, and a voucher is issued.

Keeping the offer and the voucher separate in your head matters because they have separate lifecycles. An offer can be withdrawn from sale while vouchers already issued against it remain valid and redeemable.
