Business account
How do I run a promotion?
Configure the rule in your loyalty and promotions section. It fires automatically when a customer is scanned. If it issues a voucher, the reward is chosen from a dropdown of your published issued offers rather than described freehand.
Promotions move behaviour you can name: a slow hour, a new product, a month when regulars drift.
Rewards come from your catalogue
Create the issued offer first, then point the promotion at it. That keeps every grant traceable rather than invented at the counter.
Bound it
A start and end date. Promotions fire automatically, which is exactly why they carry the most risk of costing more than they earn.
Common questions
Why can I not just type in a free item?
Freehand rewards are blocked so every grant is ledger-backed and traceable to a catalogue entry. Create an issued offer and pick it.
Do customers know it fired?
Yes, where a voucher is minted they get a notification linking to it, and staff see it flagged in their success view.
Should I set an end date?
Almost always. Promotions fire without a customer choosing them, so an open-ended one is the easiest way to overspend.
