What is an issuance delay?

An issuance delay is a wait of between 1 and 24 hours between the scan that triggers a joining bonus and the voucher actually being granted. It applies only to the joining-bonus path. Its purpose is to reward a customer who is still engaged later, not one who scanned once and left.

The control appears only once an offer is flagged as a joining bonus, because that is the only grant path that reads it.

Choosing a delay

Short enough that the customer remembers signing up, long enough that they have left and come back. A few hours is the usual answer for hospitality.

What happens if things change

Eligibility is re-checked when the delay elapses. If the offer has been unpublished or the bonus switched off, no voucher is granted.
