What happens if I close my venue?
Ending the subscription suspends the venue. Data is retained, the loyalty programme stops accruing, and the closed state is shown explicitly rather than appearing broken. Customers keep their own accounts and wallets. Resubscribing restores the same venue.
Closing suspends rather than deletes, and that distinction matters in both directions.
What stops
Loyalty accrual. Customers see an explicit closed state rather than something that looks broken.
What is kept
Your data, through the retention window. Resubscribing restores the same venue.
Money owed to you
Protected. The purge deliberately skips a suspended venue with an outstanding positive payout, because the fields it would anonymise are the ones needed to pay you.
Common questions
Do I get another free month if I come back?
No. The waived month is recorded against the venue and survives the gap.
What if you still owe me money?
A suspended venue with an unsettled positive payout is skipped by the retention purge, so your contact details are not anonymised while a debt is outstanding.
How long is my data kept?
Through a cold-retention window, after which business identity is anonymised. The windows are set out in the Privacy Policy.
