How do I publish an offer?

Create the offer, add at least one package with its price and any inventory cap, then publish. Choose issued for something you grant free, or purchased for something customers pay for. Editing a published offer returns it to draft and needs republishing.

Offers are the catalogue side of Fidella.

Issued or purchased

Issued means you grant it, and the price is forced to zero. Purchased means customers pay, which requires the money checks to have passed.

Packages carry the price

An offer is a listing; packages are what customers actually choose. Each has its own price and optional inventory cap.

Editing unpublishes

Deliberate. A change to price, inventory or copy goes back to draft and is published again, rather than reaching customers unseen.

Common questions

Why can I not set a price on my issued offer?

Issued offers are price-locked at zero in the editor and on the server, so a free grant cannot create a paid obligation. Use a purchased offer to charge.

My published offer went back to draft after an edit.

That is intended. Price, inventory and copy changes are seen again before customers meet them.

Why is my paid offer not visible to customers?

Paid content requires the money checks to pass. Free offers stay visible while those are outstanding.
