What do the numbers on my analytics page mean?
Your analytics page shows one week, month or year at your venue and compares it with the period before. While a period is still running it compares the same days so far, so a half-finished month is never measured against a whole one.
Everything on the page is counted from what was actually recorded at your venue. Nothing is estimated.
Customers
Customers visited is everyone who did something at your venue in the period. That means earning a stamp or points, redeeming a reward, spending a balance, buying or claiming an offer, or joining. Each person counts once, however often they came.
New customers are the ones whose first time with your venue falls in the period. Returning customers had been before. The two always add up to the customers who visited. All customers is everyone you have had, up to the end of the period.
Loyalty
Stamps and points given counts each time a customer earned at your venue. Rewards redeemed counts rewards handed over.
Sales
Offer sales is the money taken for offers in the period, less anything refunded. Free offers are counted as claimed, never as sold. If customers spend a balance at your venue, that appears next to it and is never added to it, because it was paid for earlier.
Days
Days start and end at midnight where your venue is. If your venue has no address yet, the page says so, because until you add one its days may start at the wrong hour.
Common questions
Why does the change sometimes show a percentage and sometimes not?
A percentage only appears once there were at least 10 of something last period. Going from 3 customers to 5 would read as 67%, which says more about the small starting number than about your venue.
Are my staff counted?
Not as customers, and their stamps and rewards are left out too. Money they spend is counted, because it is real money at your till.
Why does my customer count differ from my invoice?
Your invoice counts a finished month and leaves out anyone who only signed up. Your analytics page counts the period you are looking at, and someone who joined in that period counts as a new customer even if they have not been back.
How up to date is it?
It updates within a few seconds of a stamp, reward or sale at your venue while the page is open, and checks again every minute. The top of the page says Live when updates are arriving, and tells you if it could not refresh.
