Glossary

What is settlement?

Settlement is how we work out what we owe you and pay it. We start with the full amount, take off the cost of processing the card, take off our fee, and pay you the rest. It is separate from your monthly bill.

Two different money flows exist in Fidella and merchants routinely conflate them.

The two flows

Your subscription is billed to you monthly, on a band set by your active customer count. Settlement is money flowing the other way, from sales to you. The transaction fee lives in settlement, not in the invoice.

The order it happens in

First the full amount, then the card processing cost, then our fee, then what is paid out to you. You see each step rather than a single number.

Common questions

Is the transaction fee invoiced to me?

No. It is netted at settlement, which is why it never appears as a line on your subscription invoice.
