What is the universal customer QR?

The universal customer QR is one code that identifies the customer, not one code per reward. Staff scan it and the system then resolves everything that customer holds at that venue: their loyalty progress and any vouchers. There is no separate QR code per voucher.

This is identity-first design, and it is worth understanding because it explains several other things about how Fidella behaves.

One code, resolved server-side

The code identifies the person. What they are entitled to is looked up afterwards, on the server, against the venue the staff member is signed in at. Vouchers are never encoded into the code itself.

Why that matters

A customer never has to find the right code for the right reward. Staff scan once and see everything available. It also means a captured code reveals nothing about what somebody holds, and it is why the pass barcode can safely rotate.
