Approvals
The approval queue
The approval queue is where redemptions you want a person to release wait for a decision. It is optional. It is not the same as the customer approving their own redemption, which is a separate safeguard and happens whenever your staff start the redemption.
Your own control, distinct from the customer’s.
When it earns its keep
Where a redemption is large enough that a mistake matters, or where an extra pair of eyes is worth the friction.
What it costs
Latency at the counter. Applied to everything, it turns a two-second interaction into a wait, and staff will start working around it.
Common questions
Is this the prompt customers see on their phone?
No. That is the customer approving a spend of their own value and happens whether or not you use this queue.
Should I turn it on?
Only where the value released is worth the wait. Every queued item is a customer standing at your counter.
