Bank and payouts

Connecting your payout account

Connecting a payout account is how money reaches your bank. It is not a condition of selling. An approved venue with no connected account can publish and sell everything, including paid offers; Fidella holds what you earn until you connect.

The most commonly misunderstood part of the merchant setup, and the misunderstanding costs real revenue by discouraging venues from launching.

The accurate sentence

You can publish and sell everything. Fidella holds what you earn until you connect your bank details.

What is never true

That a venue without a connected account is limited to free offers. It is not. Paid offers can be published and sold, customers can buy them, and those vouchers redeem normally.

Collecting is your move

Once a voucher is redeemed you have earned the money. Completing the connection to collect it is your responsibility, and Fidella reports the amount waiting so it is not a mystery.

Common questions

Can I sell before connecting?

Yes. Publish and sell everything. Customers buy and pay normally, and Fidella holds those funds until you connect.

Why is it not one of the required setup steps?

Because while it was, a venue running a free-only programme could never reach setup complete and kept receiving reminders about a step that did not apply to it.

Does it change who is merchant of record?

No. Charges land on Fidella's platform account on every sale either way. Connecting changes where the money goes next.
